House Rules
Management Rules
- Any person under the age of 21 years shall not place wagers with or collect winning wagers from any licensed sports pool or operator.
- Persons shall place a wager only on their own behalf and shall not wager for another person.
- Management makes every reasonable effort to resolve disputes. Any unresolved dispute arising as a result of wagers accepted by the Sportsbook shall be resolved as set forth by rules or regulations promulgated by the Washington State Gambling Commission (“WSGC”) and Puyallup Tribal Gaming Authority (“PTGA”). Dispute forms are available at the Sportsbook as well as online through the Emerald Queen Casino website. If the dispute cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the guest, PTGA is notified. The guest is also notified that they may speak to PTGA and file a complaint with them.
General Sportsbook Rules
- The EQC reserves the right to refuse any wager, and/or delete or limit selections, prior to the acceptance of any wager.
- The EQC determines minimum and maximum wagers on all sports events.
- Please check your tickets for accuracy before leaving the wagering window. Leaving the window with the ticket is deemed an acceptance of the wager by both parties.
- The EQC is not responsible for lost, stolen, altered or unreadable tickets. Lost or stolen ticket claims may be paid upon presentation of supporting information or documentation. In the absence of such documentation, the EQC reserves the right to wait at least one year after the conclusion of the event to make its decision regarding payment.
- Sports wagering tickets are honored for ninety (90) days after the date of the event. Vouchers are honored for ninety (90) days after date of issuance. Winning tickets may be mailed in for redemption. Refer to reverse side of wagering ticket for mail-in redemption instructions. The EQC is not responsible for tickets not mailed pursuant to instructions on the reverse side of the ticket.
- Identification information is required to be presented at certain thresholds of wagers and payouts in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
- The EQC patrons are notified of odds or line changes in the following manner:
- The EQC reserves the right to add, change, or delete the payout ratio limits.
- The EQC reserves the right to add, change, or delete its House Rules, subject to regulatory approval.
- The EQC does not accept the past posting of wagers, in such cases the wager may be refunded, or where the outcome of the event is already known, in all such cases the wager is refunded.
- The EQC accepts wagers on currently posted terms unless otherwise posted or noted on printed media.
- No wagers may be accepted or paid by the EQC on the following:
- On any sport or athletic event offered or sponsored by a public or private institution that offers education services beyond a secondary level that is located within the state of Washington;
- On greyhound racing;
- By any person who is a prohibited person, which includes any person who:

is under the age of 21;

is placing a wager as an agent or proxy;

is a self-excluded person;
-
is an athlete whose performance may be used to determine, in whole or in part, the outcome of such wagering;

is an athlete, player, coach, manager, referee or other game official, physician, trainer, team employee or governing body employee, in any sports event overseen by such person's sport’s governing body;
-
holds a position of authority or influence sufficient to exert influence over the participants in a sporting event that is the subject of a wager;
-
has access to material, exclusive, non-public confidential information about a sports event that is the subject of such wagering; or
-
may otherwise undermine or influence the integrity of the wagering or the sporting event.

- The EQC prohibits wagers on any single sport or athletic event in which any collegiate team from the state of Washington or individual competing through a collegiate program from the state of Washington (a “prohibited collegiate participant”) participates regardless of where the event takes place. A prohibited sports event does not include the other games of a collegiate sport or athletic tournament in which a Washington collegiate team or athlete participates.
- In the event a prohibited college participant finishes as the winner of a futures market, the second place team (or highest placing team that is not prohibited) is considered the winner for purposes of settling the futures market (i.e. Washington wins the NCAA men’s basketball championship, the team they beat in the final is considered the champion,
- Management maintains a record of all point spreads, odds, final scores, and related wagering proposition statistics and outcomes to protect both the patron and the EQC in case of obvious mechanical or human error.
- Canceled events that have either not started or have not met the minimum length for an event to be official, result in straight wagers being cancelled. Parlays that involve a canceled event reduce to the next lower number of selections.
- All future wagers are “action” as long as a winner is officially declared, unless otherwise posted or noted on printed media.
Types of sporting events offered are those submitted to and/or approved by the WSGC and PTGA.
Mobile Wagering Acounts
Sports Book Rules and Regulations
- Account holder must be at least 21 years of age.
- EQC posted House Rules and regulations are applicable to Mobile Wagering Accounts. House Rules are available to view on printed media in the EQC or in the Support area of the Mobile Wagering App.
- Mobile Wagering Account transactions through the Mobile Wagering App cannot be accepted from any individual who is under 21 years of age or does not have a valid Mobile Wagering Account that is in good standing.
- Management reserves the right to refuse any application to open a mobile wagering account.
- Management reserves the right to suspend an account for reasons it deems sufficient.
- Management reserves the right to terminate and settle the account balance with the patron for reasons it deems sufficient in accordance with these House Rules or applicable laws and regulations.
- Management shall keep all wagering account information and transactions confidential except from the patron, affiliates or as a result of any tribal, state and/or federal law or legally sufficient subpoena or other court document that require the book to provide any and all information related to any and all accounts.
- Only the person(s) named and registered on the account may conduct transactions on the account.
- Mobile Wagering Account transactions are accepted through the Mobile Wagering App.
- Wagers placed through the Mobile Wagering App are binding when the patron verifies and confirms purchase of wager displayed on the screen.
- Wagers are not accepted if they exceed the balance in the account.
- Mobile Wagering Account withdrawals and subsequent deposits made at EQC must be authorized by the account holder.
- Mobile Wagering Account winnings are subject to IRS reporting and/or withholdings.
- Wagers placed through the Mobile Wagering App are the sole responsibility of the account holder. Management is not responsible for unauthorized access to the account.
- Unless otherwise stated, all rules apply to both wagers made in person and to wagers made using the Mobile Wagering App.
- For wagers made through the Mobile Wagering App, the terms of your wager are displayed before you tap “Place Wager,” which action is deemed an acceptance of the wager terms by you. Our acceptance of the wager request is displayed in a confirmation message on your mobile device and can be reviewed in the My Wagers section of the Mobile Wagering App at any time.
- For wagers made through the Mobile Wagering App, payment of winning wagers is made when the Sports Book confirms and posts results. Winning wagers are applied directly to your Mobile Wagering Account.
- Wagers made through the wagering app may only be accepted from within the geolocation coordinates defined by EQC in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. It is prohibited by law to wager through the Mobile Wagering App outside of the defined geolocation coordinates.
- The Mobile Wagering App displays real time lines, current odds, and potential payouts when placing wagers. Patrons will be prompted with a confirmation message that selections are correct prior to the selection of the ‘place wagers’ button. Line change notifications may occur at any time during the wager placement process. For live (in-play) wagers, the system, by default, accepts more favorable odds and the player must acknowledge or decline any less favorable odds changes. For live (in-play) wagers, this setting can be adjusted by the player to accept all odds changes or acknowledge all odds changes.
- Mobile Wagering Account rules and regulations are subject to change by management at any time.
- Deposits and withdrawal of funds for the Mobile Wagering App must be made in person at EQC and must be authorized by the account holder.
- EQC is not responsible for the performance or connectivity of a guest’s mobile device and/or service provider.
